Invest in Philly Infrastructure Action
May 31, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Donald Trump made a campaign promise to rebuild and fix inner cities – cities like Philadelphia- as a part of his infrastructure plan. Instead, his plan includes privatizing our public goods and focuses on “transformative” projects deemed regional or national priorities. We need to force investment into Philadelphia and what the community deems a priority – not what national politicians do.
One Pennsylvania is working with a National campaign to do just that and we’d love to partner with you on it. We’re looking to launch on 6/1 with a press conference outside of the Smith School (19th and Wharton) to kickoff the campaign.
We need help! With this kickoff quickly approaching we’re looking for:
1) Stories – How has a lack of investment in infrastructure in Philadelphia affected you, your members, or your constituents?
2) Speakers – we’d like to have speakers from different backgrounds talk specifically about what investments we’d like to see in Philadelphia. With a prioritization of the most affected we would like to include key supporters of infrastructure investment into Philadelphia which includes local elected representatives.
3) Turnout – We all know we’re stronger together. Can you commit to at least 5 people coming out to support this event?
Location: Outside The Smith School 1900 Wharton St, Philadelphia, PA 19146, USA
